Miguel is managing partner, co-chairman private equity and chairman ESG.
He co-manages the private equity area, primary and secondary transactions and co-investments and, as co-chief investment officer, participates in AltamarCAM Partners’ investment committees. With extensive experience in the private equity sector (in which he has worked for over 25 years), he has co-ordinated multiple direct private equity investments in the most diverse sectors.
Before joining AltamarCAM, he was a senior partner at Mercapital, a leading investor in the Spanish middle market, where, in addition to leading investments, he actively participated in fundraising and in the firm’s expansion in Latin America. Previously, he was investment director of Mexcapital, a pioneer in private equity, investing in Mexico.
He holds an MBA with honours from INSEAD and a degree in law and business administration from ICADE. He has taught financial management at both ICADE and IEB. He was also, in 2018 and 2019, president of Spanish Association of Capital, Growth and Investment (ASCRI).
