AltamarCAM Partners, a global asset management firm focused on investing in private markets, has appointed Álvaro Bachiller Ströhlein as new Global Chief Financial Officer (Global CFO). He will focus on improving AltamarCAM’s operational efficiency in this fast-growing period. The firm has also reinforced its financial department with the creation of a new senior Financial Committee.
Álvaro Bachiller will lead the corporate financial functions for all of AltamarCAM’s businesses and geographies, reporting to Elena González, the firm’s Co-COO.
Before joining AltamarCAM Álvaro Bachiller was the Director of Corporate Controlling and Investor Relations, as well as acting CFO since January at Gestamp, a multinational company specializing in the design, development and manufacture of highly engineered metal components for the automotive industry. At Gestamp, he participated in the IPO process and led several financing projects such as the EUR 400m bond issuance in April 2018. Bachiller was responsible for creating and leading the Investor Relations department after the IPO.
A dual-degree graduate in International Business Studies from ICADE and Northeastern University (USA), Bachiller began his professional career at JP Morgan in London in 2009. Subsequently, he worked at Goldman Sachs in Madrid until 2017, where he was an Executive Director for the Investment Banking Division, focusing on mergers and acquisitions for Spain and Portugal. Bachiller is fluent in Spanish, German and English.
“We are very pleased to welcome Alvaro Bachiller to the AltamarCAM team. We are convinced that his strong background and his financial skills will strengthen our financial capabilities and accelerate our internationalisation” said Elena González, AltamarCAM’s Co-COO.
The new structure will strengthen the finance team and will allow Elena González to focus more on the strategic objectives and value creation initiatives of the firm, in her additional capacity as head of the Corporate Development department.
